Facility

 |
The Pickering Park facility was
acquired in 1998 and is regarded as one of the leading structural
steel fabrication facilities in Europe. It is ideally placed
for all major road and rail networks covering the United Kingdom
and is within 10 miles of Euro Central, the gateway to Europe.
All machinery in the factory is linked to the technical
department by a network of fiber optic cables to ensure speed,
efficiency and eliminating human error.
The Sales and Estimating department is dedicated to not only
providing the best price and programme, but will supply information
and feedback and where necessary use their expertise to advise
the client, to ensure the best solutions are achieved.
The Technical Department is fully equipped with the latest
CNC Software for design and StruCad & X-Steel software
for detailing. The highly qualified engineers and technicians
will design and detail the structure, solving all technical
problems, ensuring the best solutions available are provided.

Each department is linked with the FabTrol system, which is
run on its own servers within the Bone Steel computer network.
This system allows each contract to be tracked from estimating
through to erection, which ensures maximum efficiency.
Each contract is assigned a dedicated project manager, who
along with his team is responsible for all aspects of the
construction. This phase is carried out by experienced personnel
who will ensure that the costs and programme are met.
The company employs a fully qualified safety officer, and
a team of outside safety advisors who manage safety in all
aspects of the company, both in-house and on-site. Risk assessments,
method statements and company safety statements are provided
for each contract and any further activities required.
